Arizona Trip: Part 3

A boat trip when we visit Grandpa is a MUST!  We all love it!!  This was Phoenix's first time on the boat (shocking!!) and he was a little pro.  We really could not have gotten luckier with the weather, it was cloudy (gasp!), and in the 80's when we went (triple gasp!  Hyperventilating!...seriously, calm down!!).

I asked Phoenix to say "cheese" and I got this...

Travis said that he wanted to get a picture of me falling (statistically speaking that wasn't too hard since I fell a lot...lets blame it on my weak muscles).

The kids were too young to wakeboard, but they had a lot of fun swimming around (the boat was off in case you were wondering).
Janae was being attacked by the cutest sharks ever...
 Pretty girls...

Jared revealed that he used to be a "diving machine", pretty cool if you ask me!

Travis tried to find a way to make the towel on his head look good...he failed.  But at least he is still my handsome hubby underneath it (cue the "awws").
Audrey was really timid this boat ride, she didn't want to try driving the boat, but Phoenix was ready and willing, and he took his job very seriously.
10 minutes into the car ride home.
Thanks to Grandpa for taking us out on the boat!!  We had a blast!!

Arizona Trip: Part 2

School has already started in AZ, so most of the pools and water parks were closed, the weather was still blazing hot so I am really glad we found this "splash park" to cool off. There was a lot more to it that what is shown, a pool, a playground in the middle, Phoenix hung out at the actual splash park part of it almost the whole time.  The kids had tons of fun, and so did the adults!  We hit up In-N-Out for lunch afterwards.  3 words:  1) Yum 2) Dash 3) Oh.

Arizona Trip: Part 1

A lot of my post in the recent year have been : (insert trip name here) Part (insert number here) , hopefully I will get back on the blogging horse so that trips are not the only things documented on this blog.  Until then...I give you Arizona Trip: Part 1.

Travis's parents have a neighborhood park that is right down the street.  Because all of the grand kids were on the east coast schedule they woke up at the butt crack of dawn.  I got to spend some quality time with the kiddos (for the first time in my life I did NOT adjust to the time difference, so it actually worked out well).  Travis's parents, Jeff and Diane, came to the park with us this morning, but I didn't get any pictures of them.

The sun was rising as the kids were playing, which made for some pretty cool pictures, if I do say so myself.

Brighton is holding a wood gun that shoots rubber bands, they are awesome!!!  They don't even hurt *that bad) if when they hit you.
Lazy parenting 101:  Have the big kids push the smaller kids on the swings, whilst you sit on a bench and watch.

Phoenix had been the baby of the bunch for at least a year (probably more), but this visit him and Addie play together a lot, he also played cars with Brighton.  SO CUTE!!

Soccer Mom

It's official...I am a Soccer Mom!!!  Audrey has been begging me to sign her up for soccer for years!  I finally did, and so far she loves it (her first and only practice so far was 15 minutes then we got rained out).  Phoenix wanted to join Audrey, but luckily he had a friend to play with while their big sisters were practicing.

So...does this mean we need to get a mini van???
